About the Role

We're looking for a highly motivated individual to support the "Advancing Inclusion of Women and Youth with Disabilities through Training Access and Capacity Development" project. • Capacity Building: Facilitate sensitization and capacity development for institutions on disability inclusion strategies, including accessibility screenings and audits.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key point of contact for partners, mobilize
companies for participation, and facilitate workshops on disability inclusion.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Support data collection and analysis, contribute to progress
reports, and document project lessons learned.
• Beneficiary Support: Help develop recruitment criteria, ensure competitive selection of beneficiaries, and support trained individuals in securing employment opportunities, especially in renewable energy and e-mobility.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies,
Disability Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in project coordination or support
roles, preferably within the NGO sector in Kenya.
• Proven experience working on projects related to disability inclusion, gender
equality, youth empowerment, or economic development.
• Familiarity with the Kenyan context regarding disability issues and employment
challenges.
• Experience in coordinating training programs and data collection for M&E.
Technical & Soft Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and attention to
detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team with a proactive, problemsolving mindset.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse stakeholders, including
persons with disabilities.
• A strong commitment to APDK's mission and values.

Bonus Points if you have:

• Prior experience working with GIZ or other international development partners.
• An understanding of green economy sectors (renewable energy, e-mobility).
• Experience working in an inclusion context.
• Knowledge of local languages prevalent in project areas within Kenya.
