Nurse Assistant

Our client, a Christian School in the Education Sector, is looking for a Nurse Assistant. She/he will be responsible for providing basic patient care under the supervision of the nurse. She/he will help with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and assist with treatments. She/he will also play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and comfortable patient environment. 

Responsibilities

• Help ensure a safe environment for students, such as assisting with emergency drills and reporting any safety hazards. 
• Assist with the storage and maintenance of medical equipment, ensuring it is properly cleaned and organized.
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the nurse's office and other school areas.
• Serve as a point of contact for students and parents, relaying information to the school nurse and other staff members. 
• Assist with documentation of student health conditions, such as maintaining records of medications administered and first aid provided. 
• Assist with scheduling appointments and other tasks related to student health. 
• Provide emotional support and comfort to students who may be feeling unwell or distressed.
• Build positive relationships with students and parents, fostering trust and open communication

Requirements

1. Diploma in Nursing
2. Registered by the Nursing Council of Kenya
3. Two years of work experience
4. Good interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
5. First Aid Training Skills
6. A valid certificate of good conduct
