Job Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Sales Supervisor – Modern Trade to manage and grow our business with Tier 1 supermarket chains. The successful candidate will serve as the Key Account Manager, leading negotiations, planning, execution, and analysis of modern trade strategies to ensure optimal product visibility, volume growth, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute joint business plans (JBP) with Tier 1 supermarkets (e.g., Carrefour, Naivas, Quickmart, Chandarana, etc.)
  • Drive sales growth and market share by managing sell-in and sell-out targets across key accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at supermarket chains.
  • Lead promotional planning, product listing, price negotiations, and in-store execution.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotions and recommend proactive strategies.
  • Coordinate with trade marketing, supply chain, and merchandising teams to ensure timely execution of sales initiatives.
  • Prepare regular performance reports, forecasts, and market insights for management.
  • Manage account receivables, resolve payment disputes, and ensure timely collections.
  • Supervise a team of merchandisers and field sales representatives to ensure route-to-market efficiency and visibility compliance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of progressive sales experience in FMCG, with at least 2 years handling modern trade / key accounts for Tier 1 supermarkets.
  • Proven success in modern trade business planning, negotiation, and execution.
  • Strong understanding of category management, shelf management, and promotion mechanics.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
