Description

Our client, a learning institution based in Nairobi is looking to fill the above position. He/she will be responsible for the day-to-day catering operation, resource utilization, hygiene, and management of kitchen staff.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the setting up of workstations with all the required ingredients as well as preparing cooking equipment.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen assistants to achieve cost-effective service.
  • Ensure that storage and management of food and kitchen items in the stores and kitchen is done properly and safely.
  • Monitor stock and ordering items from suppliers.
  • Budget management by monitoring stock and ordering through the procurement department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Food production and service/ food and beverage production.
  • 3 years relevant experience.
  • A valid certificate of good conduct.
  • Medical Certificate.
  • Must be proficient in computer applications.
