Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods to required standards.
- Ensure consistency in quality, taste, portioning, and presentation of all pastry items.
- Support menu development through recipe testing and contributing creative ideas.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient pastry section during preparation and service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor stock levels, support inventory control, and minimize wastage using FIFO principles.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Support junior staff and assist in team coordination where required.
- Assist in the preparation of pastry items for events, functions, and special occasions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a pastry or bakery role.
- Experience in hotels, restaurants, or catering environments is an added advantage.
