Role OverviewCapwell Industries Limited, a leading food manufacturing company in Kenya, is looking to hire a Quality Analyst to support our Quality Assurance function at our Thika plant. This role is critical in ensuring product safety, quality compliance, and adherence to food safety standards across our manufacturing operations.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Quality Analyst will play a critical role in safeguarding product integrity and ensuring compliance across our manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities will include:Conduct in-process quality inspections at critical control points (CCPs) to ensure adherence to approved product specifications and standard operating proceduresInspecting and verifying raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods against defined quality standards prior to releaseMonitoring and enforcing compliance with HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and internal Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS)Maintaining accurate quality documentation, including batch records, inspection logs, traceability reports and deviation registersSupporting and maintaining product traceability systems and mock recall exercises to ensure regulatory and audit readinessInvestigating quality deviations, non-conformances and customer complaints, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Performing routine and specialized laboratory analyses, ensuring calibration and accuracy of testing equipmentConducting hygiene, sanitation and 5S audits within the plant to maintain high food safety standardsSupporting internal and external audits, regulatory inspections and continuous improvement initiativesPreparing timely, accurate quality reports and escalating risks proactively to managementThis is a hands-on plant-based role requiring strong collaboration with Production, Supply Chain, and Quality leadership to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement.Qualifications, Knowledge and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related fieldMinimum 2 years’ experience in FMCG or food manufacturing and in quality assurance & control programsPractical exposure to QA/QC testing and plant-based quality systemsStrong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP and ISO 22000High attention to detail and strong documentation disciplineAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environmentKey CompetencesIs safety-conscious and quality-drivenHighest level of personal integrity and accountabilityIs comfortable challenging deviations on the production floorCan balance laboratory precision with operational realitiesDetail-oriented, efficient, able to multi-task, prioritize and follow projects through to completion.Results driven with a strong customer service orientation.Why Join Capwell?At Capwell Industries, we are not just manufacturing food - we are building a stronger, more innovative, and quality-driven Kenyan brand.
