Job Description
To implement, enable, scale, entrench, engage and commercialize the Energy and Infrastructure value proposition and business life journeys in country in collaboration with other Segments, Client Solutions, Engineering and country stakeholders through the client engagement platforms. Accountable for the achievement of the sector financial and non-financial metrics (e.g. client attrition/acquisition, profit growth and return on investment, etc.) in line with Business and Commercial Clients, Country requirements in close collaboration with other segment heads and Client Solutions.
Drive and entrench a consistent client experience through all engagement platforms.
Implement and monitor risk management across client coverage (e.g., operational risk, credit risk, ecosystems risk and partner risk management). Implement the client value proposition in country with approved customizations.
Inspire the team to deliver on the Group's shared purpose and, specifically relating to the energy transition across Africa.
Drive Energy & Infrastructure strategy with focus on acquisition of new to bank names in line with the bank strategy of dominating the energy sector.
Qualifications
Type of Qualification: First Degree
Field of Study: Business Commerce or any other related field
Experience Required
8-10 years
Corporate Banking/ Business & Commercial Banking
- Experience in the Energy & Infrastructure domain and development and implementation of a Energy & Infrastructure client value proposition. deep understanding of downstream oil and gas sector as well as the renewable energy sector across the region.
- Experience in Energy & Infrastructure advisory, deal structuring and in depth understanding of structured trade finance and related product offerings within the energy sector.
- Exposure to and demonstrated understanding of Credit Risk Management frameworks and related is crucial.
- Strong understanding of digital, open banking and platform integrations.
- Strong and established networks within the energy and infrastructure sector including relevant regulatory Government and industry bodies. (Ministry of Energy & Petroleum, Petroleum Institute of East Africa, EPRA )
