ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT AT AURUM CONSULTANTS

We are a Christian school in the education sector seeking a qualified Accounts Assistant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Supporting the finance and accounts completing routine bookkeeping, and accounting tasks. Provide support in preparing budgets, reporting and accounting duties for the school.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivables.
2. Complete and proof-read requisitions from other school departments.
3. Complete financial reports regularly information to the Head of Accounts.
4. Verify bank deposits and facilitate the completion bank reconciliations.
5. Enter financial information into appropriate software programs i.e., Mzizi and Quick Books.
6. Assist in coordinating internal and external audits by Supporting Auditors in their auditing functions by giving them the required information and support.
7. Manage day-to-day transactions by posting daily receipts.
8. Record office expenditures and ensuring these expenses are within the set budget.
9. Assist the Head of Accounts department and finance administrator with various tasks, including preparing budgets, records, and statements of accounts.
10. Facilitate the completion of the managerial reports.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Commerce.
2. CPA Part 2
3. QuickBooks/Sage/Accounting qualification.
4. 2 years relevant accounts experience
5. Valid certificate of good conduct
