Our client based in Nairobi is looking for a Chef/Cook who will be responsible for managing and overseeing daily kitchen activities

Responsibilities

  • Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner according to customer's orders at all times
  • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Check qualities of the ingredients
  • Ensure appealing food presentation
  • Ensure proper kitchen hygiene at all times

Qualifications

  • Food safety knowledge
  • Diploma or certificate in food and beverage knowledge
  • Prior hospitality working experience
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc)
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving skills
