Christ Is the Answer Ministries [CITAM] is an English-speaking Pentecostal church committed to a holistic Gospel that impacts society in every sphere of life. Currently, CITAM has 31 assemblies in Kenya and 4 outside Kenya and provides quality education through 12 CITAM Schools and PAC University. The Ministry runs a Farm, CITAM Kadolta Resort, Catering Units, CITAM Outfitters, the CITAM Children’s Center, Mission Stations in Northern Kenya, provides value-based media services through Hope FM, Hope Recording Studios, Hope Creatives & Digital, Hope TV, and CITAM Church Online among other social media platforms.
Job summary
CITAM Seeks to recruit a born-again Christian who is experienced and self-motivated to fill the position of a Social Action & Advocacy (SAA) Projects Coordinator. The successful candidate will oversee the design, implementation, monitoring, and successful delivery of donor-funded development and humanitarian initiatives. This role demands strategic leadership in project management, proposal development, budgeting, compliance, stakeholder coordination, and integrating faith-based approaches into development work. The position holder will be responsible for ensuring that all projects align with donor requirements, uphold the organization’s faith-based values, and adhere to best practices in humanitarian and development programming.
The position reports to the Head of Social Action and Advocacy.
Key duties and responsibilities:
1. Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of donor-funded development and humanitarian projects.
2. Oversee budgeting, financial tracking, and ensure compliance with donor guidelines.
3. Develop and manage monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems.
4. Prepare high-quality narrative and financial reports for donors and stakeholders.
5. Identify funding opportunities, mobilise resources and lead proposal development while ensuring donor compliance and alignment with the Ministry’s mission and priorities.
6. Represent the organization in relevant forums and build strong partnerships with stakeholders.
7. Ensure projects integrate faith-based values and uphold organizational policies and safeguarding standards.
8. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and safeguarding standards, while proactively managing risks through regular updates to the risk register and mitigation measures.
Requirements
1. Must be a born-again, mature Christian who conforms to the CITAM statement of faith.
2. Bachelor's degree in International Development, Project Management, Social Sciences, or a related field a Master's in any of the field is preferred.
3. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in managing complex, multi-sector donor-funded projects.
4. Proven experience in project design, budgeting, reporting, and proposal writing.
5. Strong familiarity with donor requirements, grants management systems, and compliance frameworks.
6. Experience working with or within faith-based organizations is highly desirable.
7. Fluency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of local languages is an asset.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management tools, and budgeting software's.
