Description
Our client in the hospitality industry based in Kiambu is looking to fill the above position.
Responsibilities:
- Source, receive, inspect, and reconcile incoming stock with purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
- Oversee order selection, stock distribution, and product tracking.
- Control access to the storage area and ensure proper stock arrangement.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain minimum and maximum inventory thresholds.
- Ensure items are stored on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis.
- Handle damaged or outdated stock and coordinate returns with vendors.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the storage area.
- Assist in verifying sales transactions and reconciling stock with daily sales.
- Maintain files, purchase orders, and delivery records.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with store operations, stock management, and sales processes.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems, inventory software, and stock control practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, and food or chemical handling, is an advantage.
