Minimum Requirements
• Be a Kenyan citizen
• diploma in mortuary science
• KCSE D (Plain)
• complete a period of apprenticeship, and pass a licensing exam
• Be a member of a registered funeral professional association
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong English and Swahili language skills
• Training in embalming and grief counseling.
• Proficiency in computer skills

Duties and Responsibilities
• Collecting and receiving bodies within the hospital and outside through the prescribed procedures.
• Recording bodies received.
• Washing the bodies, embalming, and refrigeration.
• Scrubbing and assisting in post mortems.
• Counselling the relatives.
• Releasing the bodies to the relatives as per the laid procedures
