| Job Description | Job Purpose To provide comprehensive medical care by diagnosing, treating, and managing patients, performing clinical procedures, and supporting preventive and rehabilitative health services to ensure quality healthcare delivery. Duties and responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Division/Section in the area of deployment, the position holder will be responsible for the following: i. Undertaking first-on-call duties, including clerking, investigating, and managing patients. ii. Reviewing patients and documenting recommendations accurately. iii. Conducting outpatient clinics and assisting in theatre procedures. iv. Performing emergency surgeries and life-saving interventions when required. v. Collaborating with medical specialists in wards, theatres, and clinics to deliver quality care. vi. Handling medico-legal duties, including completing P3 forms, attending court sessions, and performing postmortems. vii. Carrying out medical examinations and preparing detailed medical reports. viii. Training and supervising interns and medical students during clinical rotations. ix. Participating in outreach programs and community health initiatives.

| Job Specification | Key Qualifications and Experience Requirements i. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council. ii. Registration Certificate by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council. iii. Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council. iv. Training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificate will be an added advantage. v. Must possess a professional indemnity cover. vi. Proficiency in computer applications. vii. Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya. Core Competenciesi. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with good clinical judgement for effective problem-solving. ii. Effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues. iii.
