Duties

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

The DT Administrator is a member of the DT Infrastructure team with a security clearance.  Administer both classified and unclassified Information Technology (IT) systems ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability.  This involves providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to customers on classified and unclassified systems through multiple channels, conducting system analysis and configuration management, fulfilling tasks requiring sensitive access, and operating systems with a post-wide impact level.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex technical issues.  Assist in network security measures, conduct system audits for compliance, and educate users on information security best practices.  Participation in Diplomatic Technology initiatives and fulfillment of other assigned duties round out the role, emphasizing a comprehensive approach to IT administration and support. Requires a Top Secret Security Clearance.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

CLASSIFIED SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT 70%

TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT, AND CYBERSECURITY  15% 

PROJECTS AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT  15%

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  

A minimum of 2 years of experience in computer networking operations, network management or utilization of computer systems.

Education Requirements:

For the Experience and Education Requirements Applicants Must meet one of the following options:

Option One:

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 2 years of experience in computer networking operations, network management or utilization of computer systems.   

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Library and Data Science/Analytics, or Communications and Technology is required.

Option Two:

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 4 years of experience in computer networking operations, network management or utilization of computer systems.   

EDUCATION:  At least two years of college or university studies.

Option Three:

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 5 years of experience in computer networking operations, network management or utilization of computer systems.   

EDUCATION:  Secondary Education degree.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:  

Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing of English is required. (This may be tested)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

Proficiency in office productivity suites such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and OpenOffice.  Possesses strong problem-solving and communication skills that facilitate working with people of different cultural background, language, technical knowledge, and seniority.  Possess strong communication and presentation skills and understand how to tailor information to the audience.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
