Description
The TPAL Associate is the operational engine of the HR pod. The role coordinates volume recruitment, onboarding, people-operations transactions, learning-uptake activities and data capture, thereby enabling the HRBP to focus on strategic partnering while line managers receive responsive, high-quality service
Workforce Planning Data
Maintain workforce data by updating manpower-plan and recruitment-plan trackers and submitting accurate figures to the Central People Analytics & Digital team (CPAD) to agreed deadlines.
Talent Acquisition
Execute volume hiring by drafting and posting job adverts, scheduling interviews, collating panel feedback, issuing standard offers, triggering background checks and ensuring data quality in the ATS.
Support critical-skill recruitment by recording candidate status and costs, and collating interview feedback for the HRBP and CPAD.
On boarding & Induction
Coordinate onboarding by arranging IT, ID and logistics, running Day-1 orientation and 30-60-90 touch-points, updating the probation log and confirming that new-hire KPIs are in place by Day 30.
Performance & Development Support
Facilitate performance-cycle administration by extracting appraisal-status reports, uploading learning-impact scores, and capturing review completion dates.
Learning & Capablity Uptake
Drive learning uptake by enrolling employees on LinkedIn Learning paths, sending automated nudges and issuing a monthly “Learning Uptake Card” to managers.
Engagement & Culture
Support engagement activities by managing recognition nominations and events, tracking survey participation and monitoring action-plan progress.
Employee Relations Logistics
Provide ER logistics by booking disciplinary panels, preparing case files, drafting minutes, recording cycle-time data and issuing routine correspondence.
Employee cost management
Administer leave management by advising staff on requests, validating leave balances, flagging over-accruals and supplying monthly data to CPAD.
Separation & Off boarding
Manage off-boarding by guiding leavers through clearance, deactivating system access and capturing exit reasons in the attrition template.
Reporting & continous improvement support
Contribute to reporting and improvement by supplying raw data on hiring, onboarding, leave, overtime and learning, and proposing at least two customer-experience or automation ideas each quarter.

Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration or a related field.
IHRM practising certificate or CHRP (Level II) preferred.
Two to four years of HR coordination or talent-acquisition experience in a medium-to-large organisation; aviation or shift-based operations a plus.
Working knowledge of an ATS, an HRIS, Excel pivot tables, basic Power BI and LinkedIn Learning dashboards.
Familiarity with the Kenyan Employment Act and basic disciplinary procedures
Plans and executes multiple priorities with precision and urgency.
Pays meticulous attention to detail, ensuring error-free letters, contracts and data entries.
Provides friendly, solution-oriented service to candidates, employees and managers.
Demonstrates digital fluency and data discipline, validating datasets before submission.
Handles confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Actively identifies process pain-points and suggests practical, tech-enabled improvements.
