FREIGHT FORWARDING OPERATIONS
INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT FORWARDING OPERATOR - DECLARATION M/F

FIXED TERM CONTRACT

Mission Description
Reporting to the Manager – Airfreight Imports Operations, the preferred candidate will be responsible for the below key result areas: -
1.Ensure all the necessary documents required to make entries are in order.
2. Lodge accurate Customs entries in the KRA system, ensure a set of the local COC processing is shared with the supervisor.
3. Support Supervisor with all taxes/fee computation inquiries including eg KEBS, Port health, radiation etc.
4. Constantly check in Tradex/ICMS to confirm any passing & KENTRADE or rejection of entries, respond to Customs messages pertaining to any queries raised regarding the same through TRADEX.
5. Ensure customs files have all the necessary attachments, ensure KEBS consignment documents are complete and a set to obtain local COC is shared with the supervisor or PORT operation team in real time.
6. Support the supervisor on inquiries regarding documents, Customs duties, Customs requirements and regulations.
7. Handle Customs queries in liaison with the supervisor.
8. Lodge accurate IDF's in the KRA ICMS system.
9. Lodge PGA regulatory import permits & other consignment documents in TFP-KenTrade system.
Profile
1. Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding or related field.
2. EACFFP Certificate
3. ICMS training and password is mandatory.
4. 2 years relevant experience.
