Description
REPORTING TO: SENIOR MANAGER-INTERNAL AUDIT
Job Purpose:
To drive the design, implementation, and management of continuous auditing and data analytics programs within the
Internal Audit function. This role enhances audit effectiveness by leveraging technology, data analytics, and
automation to deliver timely, risk-based insights, and improve assurance coverage in a fast-scaling, digitally
transforming bank.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Continuous Audit and Data Analytics
• Develop and implement a continuous auditing framework integrated with the Bank’s risk management and
control systems.
• Utilize data analytics tools to identify anomalies, trends, and emerging risks across business lines.
• Automate recurring audit tests for high-risk and high-volume processes (e.g., loan origination, transaction
monitoring, digital banking).
• Build and maintain dashboards to track key risk indicators (KRIs) and audit exceptions.
• Integrate analytics into all stages of the audit cycle — planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
2. Audit Execution and Reporting
• Support audit teams with data-driven insights to enhance audit quality and efficiency.
• Perform thematic risk assurance reviews using data analytics to identify control gaps.
• Present findings and visualization dashboards to management, ensuring actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to the preparation of Board and Audit Committee reports on analytics-driven assurance
outcomes.
3. Collaboration and Capacity Building
• Work with IT, Risk, and Business units to ensure access to quality data sources for analytics.
• Train audit teams in the use of analytics and visualization tools (ACL, Power BI, SQL, Python, etc.).
• Promote a data-driven audit culture within the function.
• Partner with the Transformation Office and Digital Banking teams to align audit analytics with process
automation initiatives.
4. Innovation and Process Improvement
• Continuously explore and implement emerging audit technologies (AI, RPA, ML) for risk monitoring.
• Recommend improvements to business processes through predictive and prescriptive analytics.
• Participate in digital transformation initiatives to ensure controls are embedded in automated systems.

Continuous Audit Implementation
Number of processes covered by automated audit scripts - ≥ 10 key risk processes annually
Data Analytics Utilization
% of audits supported by data analytics - ≥ 80% of all audits
Risk Detection Efficiency
Number of control exceptions detected through analytics - ≥ 20% year-on-year improvement
Reporting Timeliness
Turnaround time for analytics reports - ≤ 5 working days post-audit fieldwork
Innovation & Automation
Introduction of new analytic tools/dashboards - At least 3 new analytic tools annually
Stakeholder Satisfaction
Feedback from Audit Committee and Management - ≥ 85% satisfaction rating
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Audit Methodology - Strong understanding of risk-based and technology-enabled auditing methodologies.
Data Analytics Tools - Proficiency in ACL, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, or SAS.
Continuous Auditing - Ability to design and execute continuous audit scripts and monitoring dashboards.
Automation & Robotics - Experience with RPA and control integration within automated workflows.
Banking Processes - In-depth understanding of Retail, Corporate, and MSME banking operations and digital channels.
IT and Information Security Controls - Working knowledge of ITGCs, cybersecurity, and data governance.
Visualization & Reporting - Strong ability to present complex analytical results through dashboards and visual tools.
Data Management - Familiarity with data governance, quality assurance, and ETL processes.

Academic Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• A master’s degree in data Analytics, Audit, or Business Administration is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in internal audit, with at least 3 years in data analytics or continuous audit roles.
• Proven experience in banking, financial services, or technology audit environments.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate data analytics into audit processes and lead technology-driven initiatives
Professional Certifications
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or CPA/ACCA (mandatory).
• CISA, CRMA, or Data Analytics Certification (e.g., ACL Certified Data Analyst, Power BI Certification) preferred.
