About me
Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research, data analysis, market research, policy analysis and business development. During my engagement as a Research Assistant at Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, I took part in different projects involving data collection, entry, cleaning, analysis and visualization. I collected data using software such as ODK and Kobo collect. We analyzed the data using Microsoft Excel and SPSS software. We collected data on industrial production and marketing, retail market pricing, hotel occupancy, agro-processing, education, health, poverty, food security, employment and national macroeconomic sectors. We collected data through focus group discussions, household-based surveys, institutional surveys and desktop research. I am passionate about business development, trade facilitation, strategic policy development and promotion of local businesses in the international market.
While at Kenya Climate Innovation Center, I participated in different research projects including Kenya- Estonia business exchange program which aimed to identify potential areas of collaboration. Locally, I have offered business advisory to Small, Medium and Growing businesses, supported their product development and market strategy development processes. To promote a conducive business environment, I participated in policy research workshops which identified policy gaps, proposed amendments and formulated policy statements that created an enabling business environment for the business community. As a business advisor, I supported enterprises in agribusiness, waste management, water management, renewable energy and commercial forestry sectors. Over the years, I have studied the policy framework in different regions including the European Union, Africa Continental Free Trade Area, USSR as well as an understanding of the role that World Trade Organization plays in global trade facilitation. To create market exposure, I have supported Kenyan entrepreneurs to attend international exhibitions, conferences and trade fairs. These positively impacted their operations as they were able to unlock new markets abroad and create market partnerships.
