About me

I am writing to express my interest in the Accountant Assistant at Aurum Consultant , as advertised on 13th September 2024. With a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the Technical University of Kenya, achieving Second Class Honors Upper Division, coupled with relevant practical experience and ongoing CPA studies, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your esteemed organization.

During my academic tenure, I developed a solid foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost analysis. My coursework included advanced subjects such as Financial Management, Cost Accounting, and Auditing, equipping me with the analytical skills and knowledge necessary for this role.

In addition, I completed a three-month attachment at the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). This experience honed my skills in financial data analysis, tax compliance, and the preparation of detailed financial reports. Key responsibilities included:

– Assisting in the reconciliation of tax records and financial statements, which strengthened my attention to detail and accuracy in handling complex financial data.

– Supporting the team in processing and analyzing large volumes of financial transactions, enhancing my proficiency in accounting software and data management.

– Engaging in the review and verification of financial documentation, which developed my critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Currently, I am enrolled in the CPA program and have successfully completed Section 1. This ongoing education underscores my commitment to professional growth and my readiness to adapt to the evolving demands of the accounting profession.
