Reporting to Logistics Manager. • Business Planning and initiatives: Develop and deliver an effective Fleet and CDE strategy and business plan based on research, benchmarking, analysis insight and expertise. • Monitor financial performance and asset costs, highlight issues and propose remedial actions. • Fleet and CDE Management: Monitor Fleet and cooler utilization and provide advice on appropriate action for improvement. • Manage and control outsourced services and contracts. • Fleet and CDE maintenance: Responsible for the allocation of resources required to maintain and repair Fleet and Cold Drink Equipment. • Ensure availability of safe, efficient and cost effective vehicles and cooling equipment. • Contract Management: Engage stakeholders in vehicle design and procurement process. • Evaluate and select vendors and contractors to provide products and services. • Operational support: Manage processes and practices for fuelling, maintenance, and accidents to keep costs down and retain higher market values and increase vehicle uptime. • Analyze vehicle and cooler count and age- to inform decisions regarding optimal inventory levels and disposal of vehicles and coolers. • Lead team effectively: Effectively manage team and individual performance and development. • Encourage innovative problem solving and provide on job training, coaching and support. • Profit improvement projects to reduce cost and improve quality in repair and maintenance of company fleet and coolers • Fuel Management: In conjunction with Distribution section, give fuel analysis and advice on efficient fuel usage through practical actions and controls.
