Quality Control Assistant

Our Client: a production company based in Nairobi is seeking a hardworking and dependable Quality Control Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in chemistry and laboratory work who are keen to contribute to quality control processes.

Work Environment:

• Laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals and testing equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Sample Testing & Analysis
• Conduct routine testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products.

• Perform chemical, physical, and laboratory tests to ensure adherence to standards.
• Inspection & Quality Monitoring
• Inspect laboratory equipment for calibration and maintenance.
• Monitor the quality of samples to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Data Recording & Reporting
• Record test results and report deviations using laboratory systems (e.g., LIMS).
• Prepare summary reports for management.
• Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and assist with audits.
• Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and ensure compliance with ISO and GMP standards.
• Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving
• Support quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues related to product quality or testing procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Experience: 1-2 years in a laboratory or quality control environment is preferred.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail.  Excellent analytical skills.          Familiarity with quality standards (ISO, GMP).
