Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end processes.
- Perform and review bank, Mpesa, PDQ, petty cash, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Monitor cash flows and support treasury management activities.
- Prepare and ensure timely filing and remittance of statutory obligations.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and support inventory accounting processes.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and support implementation of audit recommendations.
- Monitor expenses and support cost control initiatives.
- Supervise Accounts Assistants and provide support to junior finance staff.
- Promote strong internal controls and continuous improvement of finance processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CPA (K) qualification or CPA (K) Finalist.
- Minimum of five (5) years' relevant accounting experience.
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, taxation, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in Quick books software, advanced Microsoft Excel and other ERP systems.
- Experience in the hospitality, food, FMCG, or manufacturing sector will be an added advantage
