Description
Cook – Catering Department (1 Position)
Qualification:
- Craft Certificate in Food and Beverage or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Valid Certificate of Health for Food Handlers.
- Skills in food presentation, kitchen management, customer service and cooking techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cut and wash raw foods using appropriate tools.
- Cook and prepare a variety of meals.
- Identify and report defects in kitchen equipment or food supplies.
- Prepare meals following standard procedures.
- Review menus and assemble food supplies for daily preparation.
- Set up and prepare equipment for food production.
Terms and Conditions
Successful candidates will be appointed on a one-year internship basis under the prevailing terms and conditions of the Governing Council of The Siaya National Polytechnic.
