Officer II/Telecoms Inspection and Compliance (4 VACANCIES) at the Communications Authority of Kenya

This is the entry and training grade for Degree holders in this cadre. Duties and responsibilities in this position shall entail assisting in: -

i.          Collection and analysis of data from Telecom licensees,

ii.        Maintenance and update of Telecom licensees database,

iii.      Participate in the monitoring of compliance by licensees,

iv.      Monitoring the performance of Telecom licensees against the licence terms and conditions, guidelines, regulations and the Act,

v.        Gathering and analysing annual compliance returns and prepare compliance reports and overall industry performance reports,

vi.      Reviewing Annual Audited Accounts from licensees to ascertain applicable annual operating fees due to the Authority,

vii.    Responding to licensee and consumer queries and complaints,

viii.  Undertake surveillance and enforcement action against unlicensed Telecom service providers,

ix.      Prepare compliance reports and recommend issuance of Telecom compliance certificate,

x.        Provide inputs towards preparation of Management and Board Papers.

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -

i.          Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunications Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Statistics or any other related field from a recognized institution,

ii.        Proficiency in computer applications,

iii.      Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
