About the Council
Warehouse Receipt System Council (WRSC) is a State Corporation established under the Warehouse Receipt System Act No. 8 of 2019 with the mandate to develop and regulate a warehouse receipt system for agricultural commodities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Implementing policies, procedures, frameworks, strategies, plans, legislations, standards and regulations on corporate communications.
- **Promoting the corporate image of the Council**.
- Identifying and implementing **branding, awareness and social responsibility activities** to enhance visibility of the Council.
- Uploading events and information on the Council’s **website**.
- **Monitoring and managing media coverage** and submitting media reports.
- Organizing the Council’s public job specifications and **corporate events**.
- Editing, designing and distributing Information, Education, Communication (IEC) including merchandise and promotional materials.
Person Specifications
Mandatory requirements:
- Served in the grade of Communications Officer II for a minimum period of **three (3) years**.
- Bachelor’s degree in any the following disciplines: Journalism, Mass Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, Arts or equivalent qualification.
- Be Proficient in Computer applications.
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
