About the Council
Warehouse Receipt System Council (WRSC) is a State Corporation established under the Warehouse Receipt System Act No. 8 of 2019 with the mandate to develop and regulate a warehouse receipt system for agricultural commodities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Validating data entry on warehouse receipt transactions.
- Approving cataloguing warehouse receipt transactions for conformity.
- Maintaining records of warehouse receipt transactions.
- Recommending replacement of warehouse receipts.
- Verifying central registry records.
- Implementing guidelines, procedures, standards and work plans of the Central registry.
- Ensuring the completeness and conformity of the warehouse receipt to set standards.
- Documentation and archiving of warehouse receipts.
Person Specifications
Mandatory requirements:
- Have served in the grade of Registration Officer II, for a minimum period of **three (3) years**.
- Have a Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Information Science, Management Information Science, Library Science, Records Management, Business Information Technology, Information management, Archives and Records Management, or equivalent qualification.
- Be Proficient in computer applications.
- Have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
