Description
Warehouse Receipt System Council (WRSC) is a State Corporation established under the Warehouse Receipt System Act No. 8 of 2019 with the mandate to develop and regulate a warehouse receipt system for agricultural commodities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Collecting, collating, processing and interpreting statistical data.
- Implementing of the Council’s strategic plan and service charter.
- Implementing the Council’s performance contract and master plan.
- Developing departmental work plans and aligning them to the budget.
- Monitoring and reporting on progress in the implementation of projects and programmes.
- Conducting economic analysis and baseline survey.
- Preparing Council’s Public Expenditure Review and Mid Term expenditure Framework (MTEF) budget.
- Providing input in the preparation of development plans.
Person Specifications
Mandatory requirements:
- Served for a cumulative six (6) years, three (3) of which must have been in the grade of a Planning Officer I or equivalent qualification in a comparable institution.
- Bachelor’s degree in any the following disciplines: Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Philosophy of Economics or equivalent qualification.
- A professional qualification and been a member to a relevant professional body and in good standing.
- Been Proficient in computer applications.
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
