Job Description
This role entails carrying out key data analysis tasks with the Actuarial department such as computing persistency metrics, Sales reports and dashboards as well as advisor payments.KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of advisor payment models and schedules. These include marketing allowances, monthly incentives, advisor’s support and any other advisor duties that may be recommended by the business
- Updating and circulating the Sales on a weekly basis or at such other time as may recommended by the business
- Updating and sharing the Sales Incentive Report monthly or at such other time as may be required by the business
- Updating and circulating the Executive Sales Dashboards weekly
- Conduct weekly checks on the Unit Prices and updating them on the Policy Administration system (TE)
- Updating and sharing key persistency statistics with the Retail team monthly
- Compute benefits not captured in the Policy Administration system. These include unit linked fund build ups, anticipated endowment bonuses and surrender.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications i.e. Word, Excel
- Knowledge of Python, a plus
- Data Validation and Verification

- Good communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, statistics or any related field
ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING (AML) EXPECTATION
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring adherence to, implementation of, and adoption of Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Sanctions-related policies, procedures, and process requirements within Old Mutual and its subsidiaries. This includes execution of customer due diligence processes, ensuring compliance with Know-Your-Customer (KYC) standards, conducting ongoing and enhanced due diligence, and maintaining data quality. Additionally, the role involves identifying and monitoring potential AML, Sanctions, or Compliance breaches and unusual activities, and escalating these concerns to the Risk and Compliance Office for further action.
