Description
Overview of the Position
Our client, a Christian school based in Kasarani, is seeking a qualified Teacher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Kiswahili and Creative Arts at the middle school level.
Responsibilities
- Teach fun and creative lessons in art, music, or drama that follow the school’s curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and activities to help children learn creative skills.
- Help pupils explore their talents and express themselves in different artistic ways.
- Use different teaching methods to support all participants, no matter their learning style or skill level.
- Work with other teachers to plan projects that include both art and other subjects.
- Organize art displays, shows, or performances where children can share their work.
- Check their work and give helpful feedback to help them improve.
- Create a safe, friendly, and fun classroom where everyone feels free to be creative.
- Keep track of how each child is doing and give extra help when needed.
- Teach appreciation for the value of art in life, culture, and history.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education, with subject specialization.
- 3 years relevant experience
- TSC Registration
- Valid certificate of good conduct.
