Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager – Aurum Consultants

About the Role

Our client, in the manufacturing industry, based along Thika Road, is seeking to hire a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor & Project Manager to join our growing construction and development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing bills of quantities, cost estimates, and budgets for upcoming projects.
• Support procurement and tendering processes including quotations and contractor evaluations.
• Help monitor and control project costs and progress against approved budgets.
• Support in drafting and managing project timelines, schedules, and progress reports.
• Conduct site visits and help coordinate contractors, suppliers, and site teams.
• Assist in preparing interim valuations, site measurements, and payment certifications.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards on all projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 yearsof practical experience in a construction or real estate environment.
• Basic knowledge of cost estimating, project scheduling, and contract administration.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity take off tools.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow into a more senior QS/PM role.
• Member of a professional body (e.g., IQSK, AAK, ACMK) is an added advantage.
