Job Vacancy- Transport Officer

Our Company Africa Safari trips is a Netherlands based company and is one of the leading safari companies in Africa. We are seeking to engage a passionate and results driven individual to fill in the position of Transport officer.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

·       Coordinate with all heads of Departments to determine transport requirements and schedule transport to meet them.

·       Assist with the assessment of local transportation resources and infrastructure and contracting of transportation assets

·       Coordinate the movement of vehicles and other transportation assets

·       Install and maintain the vehicle management systems to ensure that data is in put regularly and that required reports are produced

·       Assist with the assessment of local transportation resources and infrastructure and contracting of transportation assets

·       Plan and allocate vehicles for safaris and all transfers

·       Ensure the appropriate use, maintenance and repair of all light vehicles

·       Calculate Kms, fuel and allowance for driver guides

·       Follow up on garage report and services of the vehicles

·       Follow up log sheets for Safari vehicles

·       Follow up safari programs while clients are in Kenya

·       Keeping all data for transport in the company system

·       Assist to arrange in briefing of safari drivers

·       Undertake any other duty assigned to you from time to time to ensure the attainment of the company’s objectives

Requirements

·       At least 2 years of experience as in a similar position and preferably in a tour company

·       Computer and IT knowledge

·       Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Transport and logistics, Tour and travel management or any other equivalent

·       Great analytical skills

·       Great problem -solving skills

·       Should be flexible and reliable
