We are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician who will be based at our Nairobi Factory in Industrial area.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out corrective repairs.
- Replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
- Maintain records of maintenance and repair work.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and mechanical systems.
- Ensure proper alignment, calibration, and testing of equipment after installation.
- Interpret technical drawings and manuals during setup.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify wear and tear or potential issues.
- Use diagnostic tools and techniques to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
- Participate in machine loss eradication through analysis and implement countermeasures.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Observe safe working behavior and maintain safe working environment. .
- Test mechanical systems to ensure they meet performance standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure equipment reliability.
- Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Organize and manage mechanical parts inventory.
- Request new tools or parts when necessary
- Participate in WCM process improvement teams for loss eradication.
- Communicate effectively with Manager/Engineers regarding job progress and issues
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2- 5 years relevant experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic and repair tools.
- Knowledge in TPM.
