Job Summary:

One of our clients located on Enterprise Road in the manufacturing industry is hiring!

The Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing presses or manufacturing press machines to produce high-quality products efficiently and safely. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate press machines (e.g., offset, flexographic, hydraulic, stamping, or screen printing presses) according to production specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.
  • Adjust machine settings, such as feed speed, temperature, and pressure, to optimize production and product quality.
  • Monitor the printing or forming process to ensure accurate color, alignment, and output.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machines.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or quality issues during production.
  • Ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards.
  • Complete production logs and documentation accurately and timely.
  • Clean and maintain press equipment and work area in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the production team and supervisors to meet deadlines and resolve production issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a press operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
  • Ability to operate and maintain press equipment.
  • Good mechanical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and production procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts and overtime as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing or print production environment.
  • May be exposed to noise, fumes, or moving mechanical parts.
  • Requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
