Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily front of the house and back of the house restaurant operations
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Organize and supervise shifts
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
- Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
- Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
- Recommend ways to reach a broader audience
- Develop strategies for improving our customer’s dining experience
- Ensure proper stock levels for all restaurant supplies such as serviettes and packaging materials
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
- Work with the head chef to maintain high-quality food standards
- Ensure the team maintains high levels of cleanliness and hygiene both in the restaurant and personal
- Is consistently well groomed and neat and keeps clean and tidy working stations areas
- Contribute towards the achievement of organization KPIs with an objective of hitting and surpassing target
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Must be computer literate with excellent reporting skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Food and Beverage service.
- Highly conversant with HACCP regulations as well as safety policies
- Knowledge in planning, budgeting, forecasting and management of costs
- Be conversant with advanced principles of food and beverage management, revenue management and cost control
- People Management skills
- Good verbal and written skills
- Familiarity with hospitality software systems.
- Acute financial management skills
