Description
Our client based in Nairobi is looking for a Chef/Cook who will be responsible for managing and overseeing daily kitchen activities
Responsibilities
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner according to customer's orders at all times
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Check qualities of the ingredients
- Ensure appealing food presentation
- Ensure proper kitchen hygiene at all times
Qualifications
- Food safety knowledge
- Diploma or certificate in food and beverage knowledge
- Prior hospitality working experience
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc)
- Analytical mind and problem-solving skills)
