Job Purpose
To represent the Company and its insureds clients in court and ensure effective handling of all legal matters including litigation, claims defense and dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare pleadings, court documents, and legal opinions.
- Represent the company and its insureds in court and at tribunals.
- Advise on litigation risks and appropriate legal strategies.
- Attend pre-trial conferences and negotiate settlements.
- Maintain and update court diaries and status reports.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university.
- Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
- Current Practicing Certificate.
- At least 3 years post-admission experience in civil litigation.
- Insurance litigation experience is an added advantage.
